I slapped him on his face. It probably didn't hurt, since he was immortal. Plus if it did sting, then it would heal away fast. There's something about that girl. I rolled my eyes and shook him, "Sorry to interrupt your cute little moment. But You OK? And why do you keep starrin at her?" I looked at the clock on the wall, it was night. Perfect.

He broke the stare and turned to Katherine, glaring at her. "Shut-up," He muttered, following her out of the cell. His wings were still out, and he felt burned. Shame. The girl. But he remembered her own, identical wings. How the hell did that happen?!? She was an angel! How could she... God, and she's here again. She sees my wings, I see hers. How could she?!? He thought, mind racing. Suddenly, he saw another Patrol/Guard Guy coming over. He seemed to be immune to Katherine. Devon cursed, watching him slam the door shut quickly and yell at the others. They left, all glaring. Devon dropped down, in a sitting position, and covered his face, though he wasn't crying. He groaned.

Ouch. I watched as the ugly lady guard threw my back into my cell. Well, our cell. I looked at him. Ooolala, he was in love! Or lust. I smirked and chuckled at him, "You gonna tell me what happened or do I have to threaten you?"

He glared at her again. "I know her," He mumbled. "I love her, more than anything, not more than Mercy or Quinn but.... But as a sister, she's younger than me. I knew her...." He rubbed his forehead. "As an angel" Devon cursed, banging his head against the wall. He folded his wings back, pressing them tightly against his back. He looked so bothered, it was weird to see it on a face like his, always full of amusement.

I took a step back. Didn't see that coming. I thought she was just a girl that he got pregnant, if angels could have children. I sighed, I missed my daughter, I didn't even get to hold her. And now I can't bear children, stupid decisions. I sighed and walked over to him as he was banging his head against the wall. I lightly and gently stocked his back, I could tell he was in pain. It was basically my job to make men miserable, but this one seemed far from miserable.

He stared at his hands. He was frozen, everything was gone. Nothing mattered. He'd lost both his girls, they were somewhere, roaming the world, bitten. Their whole family had been. And he had just died. It suprised him he didn't hate vampires. They were in a village, and the village was attacked. Devon shivered. "Failure. And she gets to watch. She sees this. And now, what? Her wings, they're black! God, how the hell could that happen?!?" Devon blinked, realizing he was doing sign language again. His hands were moving around, forming letters and full words.

He closed his eyes, squeezing them shut. "She wouldn't. She was the one watching when it happened, but I just know it wasn't me. I swear, I'll rip every feather off my wings if it was me..." Devon hated every moment of this. He was showing weakness. He wondered if she was watching, no. She hadn't noticed him, really. He was just a face, a body, but not a person. He felt like screaming, shouting out. He wanted to go back to being regular. Where he had ignored Celestina and everything would be better. Was that it? She was ignoring him? He rubbed an eye, blinking.

I couldn't watch Devon beat himself up. I hadn't seen him in years and this is how I reunite with him? How I find him again? What kind of fate was that? I cursed under my breath and banged my fist against the wall. It uncurled. Yes, I had grown to love him, but when he fell, after a while a few years or so..I moved on. I found someone. But he was human. I was lured by lust and that's what got me this wretched black wings.

He glared at her again. "No. Just no, that isn't..." He groaned, beginning to pace. "I don't know. But, now, look at her... Wings, black. Black wings." He reached out of the cell and shocked himself, again and again. It felt painful, at first. But his arm began to feel numb. He shook his arm, squeezing his eyes closed. He heard a Patrol coming over, to stop him. Why did they care? All they would do is stab him with a stun stick, or take him out for a whipping. Then he'd be put back in the cell, where they would watch.

I looked at Devon and fury rose in my eyes. Why was he hurting himself? I walked over to the cell doors closet to him, "Devon stop hurting yourself!" I begged. Seeing him hurt, only made my time in this cell more painful. I tried to reach out and get him to draw his arm back into his cell, but I was shocked. Nevertheless I kept trying.

He ignored Katherine, and Celestina, both. He heard the Patrol come, and he heard the Patrol open the cell's door and grab him, stun stick ready. Devon gave Katherine an apologetic look. Maybe she didn't know, but he was in for a whipping. He shook his free arm again, mumbling something completely un-understandable under his breath. He closed his eyes as the Patrol led him out of the room. The cells were all line up in the room, facing eachother. This was the age group. And he'd have to go through every single age group from appearance and go to the whipping room.
