Mercy hadn't been in the world very long. Almost eighteen long years shouldn't nearly be enough to know what Mercy did. She'd been through a lot, like most Immortals, but more out in the Mortal world. To Mercy, the Mortal world was much more vicious than the Immortals'. Mercy had done things she was ashamed of. Before getting into prison, she'd been a... party animal. Every night she'd sneak into a club and spend the night dancing and probably on some stranger's lap, drunk. She'd taken drugs, drunken until she had to be taken to the hospital, stole too many things to list, and assaulted many people. All while she was a sixteen year old girl. It was a wonder she didn't have a kid, yet, with all the things she did. But that was better. Mercy, though pretty mature, wasn't exactly read for that. Not like she could, anymore. She shrugged. "Black." She said, deciding not to explain. Most people said because it was a dark color. But Mercy thought so much more. Black was a neutral color, yet portrayed so many different emotions. It hid you, yet outlined you at the same time. Black brought warmth, and light; yet it was dark and cold color. Black was almost Mercy. In a much more deep way other than just "darK". She hummed softly, and tilted her head. "What's your favorite song?" She asked, shifting so her back was against his chest. She played with his fingers.

Celestina
She had stopped struggling and let Ethan move her anywhere as long as it was away from Alexandria. “Thank you..” She whispered, her voice calm. Celestina was so tired, so tired of life. It had taken so much out of her. Celestina tugged on her wrist again, “I’m not going back.” She said, turning to face Ethan, “You can let me go.” The fallen felt to restrained, she just needed to sit down and think things through. Was it even really worth it fighting with Alexandria? Probably not. She was always going to be the same old women she was and Celestina couldn’t change that whatsoever. But she could stand up for herself.

Alexandria
She looked at Devon. “About time you let me go.” She said, brushing the dirt off of her jeans. “Physically or mentally? Because that would be a no on both. Though, you really need to teach that girl to fight, Devon. She’s not very good.” Worse Alexandria got was a bloody nose and a bruised cheek. That was pretty sad. She wiped the blood from her nose and sighed. “I’m guessing you’re going to go see how she’s doing? Either that or go find Mercy.” She said, sticking her thumbs in her back pockets. Alexandria chuckled, “Try anything on you? Devon, you could easily do damage on my pretty little face. Can’t really risk it there.” She said, winking.

His back was pressed against the trunk of the tree and his arms were wrapped around Mercy’s waist with his hands folded on her stomach. Alexander rested his head on her shoulder, “Song?” He asked. “Hmm, so many good ones and so many that suck like Hell.” He said, thinking about it for a moment. “I’m going to have to say Carolyn by the Black Veil Brides. It reminds me of all us immortals telling us that we’re not alone. That we should stick together no matter what. And yours?” He asked, brushing her hair away from her face so he could kiss her cheek, gingerly. Though, through his life Alexander had been to more parties than he could count, he didn’t really prefer them. He preferred the quite scene of a library setting. Just a book was company enough. But, Mercy was better company than a book. She was real. Not so much alive, but he wasn’t either. But you got the point, she was there. Alexander smiled at the thought and leaned his head against her ice cold neck. It set him at ease and he slowly shut his eyes. No, he wasn’t sleeping. If you knew anything about vampires you knew that they didn’t’ sleep. They were the living dead. Do you think zombies sleep? Probably not.

Devon rolled his eyes. "What? You didn't like being back in my arms, again?" He smirked, raising a pierced eyebrow at her suggestively. Devon took a step closer, so they were facing each other. Unlike Celestina, Alexandria was pretty tall, and her eyes were a bit below his own. He sighed. "I'm sorry about her, though. And n-o to that suggestion. I really don't need her kicking my ass every time she gets pissed at me, 'cause that's what's probably going to happen. And no, I'm staying here with you." Devon smiled slightly. He brushed some hair out of her eyes and looked at her carefully, seeming to observe her like he used to. His eyes flickered towards her bruised cheek and he sighed. "She didn't do much damage at all," He bit his lip, looking at her carefully. "I remember... you used to come home so beat up. But it seemed each time you had won the fight." He grinned. Devon usually hadn't much help with bandaging her up, but he always kissed her injury after she'd been treated.

She rose a perfectly arched eyebrow, “Actually, for once I didn’t. Because you were holding me back from choking the life out of her.” She folded her arms across her chest. “Under any other circumstances I would have.” Alexandria rolled her eyes and leaned against a tree looking around, “What? Are you just going to watch me like I’m a baby? She’s not worth it, I don’t want to fight her right now.” Alexandria smirked up at him, “Hey, I’m just that good. Everyone else just sucks. If I wanted to I bet I could win in a fight against you too. You would put up a challenge, though.” She said, eyeing him suspiciously. Why was he being so…nice? Weren’t they supposed to hate each other. Alexandria shook her head and took a step closer to him, “I’m just saying you better keep an eye on her or next time I will kill her. You got that?” She ask, raising an eyebrow again. They were really close. Closer than they really should have been. Closer than Alexandria should have been to an engaged man. But, Alexandria always went on forbidden territory. And she was just about to ruin the moment: She kissed him.

Even though she a little ways away from Alexandria and Devon, Ethan still didn’t let her go. Celestina sighed. What could she do? Hmm, something that would catch him totally off guard. That’s when it hit her. Ethan would never expect Celestina to kiss him. He knew how much she loved Devon. It would mean nothing either, she just wanted to be let go. She was like a bird in a cage right now. What did a bird want? Freedom. That’s exactly what she wanted. She wanted freedom from everyone. Quickly, Celestina stood on her tippy toes and pressed her lips to Ethan’s. She could tell that she caught him off guard because he flinched. Exactly the reaction she was looking for.

Mercy snorted at his comment. "Or separate before we rip each other's heads off." She smirked, pushing his fingers down one by one until only the finger you put rings on remained. Mercy sighed, and thought for a moment. "Umm... For Reasons Unknown by The Killers. I don't know if you know them, considering most Immortals at prison haven't been out in the world since the 1980's. It's... interesting. I haven't heard it in a while, 'cause, you know... but they lyrics are amazing and I like the song itself. I can't really explain." Mercy said, turning her head and kissed his forehead. She went back and looked straight ahead, peering out through the leaves again. Mercy wondered if Devon was thinking about her, wondering where she was, or knew where she was. She bit her lip at that thought. She'd have to find an excuse sooner or later.

He shook his head, “No, I don’t know them.” He said, running a free hand through his hair before he layed it back on her stomach. “And I only know Carolyn because one time before you got thrown into the prison, a guard brought his daughter here. Great fieldtrip, don’t you think? She just started blasting their music until her father brought her home.” He shrugged, “I won’t rip another immortals head off. Only, unless, they mess with me. I know you can take care of yourself. When we first met you threatened to drain my blood.” He said, chuckling at the memory. “You were very charming back then.” He said, sarcasm lacing in-between his words. “Would you mind singing the song to me?” He asked, rocking them back and forth in a soothing way.

Devon froze, immediately, unable to respond to anything. Instantly, Devon absolutely hated Alexandria. Because he kissed back. He lost himself, for a moment. How long had it been since he'd kissed Alexandria? God, she was intoxicating, a drug. Alexandria was his heroin. Once he was on it, he couldn't not come back. Deep inside, Devon knew that the same thing was going to happen over and over again. But with just one dose of Alexandria, he knew he was screwed. She was the most wonderful feeling in the world, where he was happiest, and who he loved. His arms wrapped around her as quickly as possible and pressed her against him, never breaking the kiss. Celestina... She was still a little kid to him. She was sweet, and kind. But Alexandria... She was just as screwed as him, some one he could actually relate to comfortably. He did love Celestina, but more like he loved Mercy. It was a brotherly love, and it always had been. The only real attraction he'd had to her... it was Devon being a teenage guy and seeing a pretty girl. It was messed up, but that was all it had ever been. He'd been fooling himself, thinking he could end up with some one like her. But Alexandria.... God damn, she was amazing. He bit down on her lower lip, loving the feeling of her soft lips on his. Alexandria hadn't gone too far into the unspoken. In fact, she went just far enough to wake Devon up. He loved Alexandria.

Ethan turned his face away, though surprisingly, it felt kind of nice having Celestina kiss him. He let go for a nanosecond, or more loosened, but never released his grip. He smirked at her, but he was still blushing softly. "You're evil, but you do realize you're dealing with a professional, right?" He said, raising an eyebrow at her. He kissed her cheek. "Celestina, I'll let you go soon enough, kid. Don't worry." Ethan grinned, ignoring the outraged expression on Celestina's face. it wasn't sadness, just anger. He pulled her along even further away, until they were almost near the prison. It would take half an hour to get back now. He finally let her go and watched her cautiously. YOu could never be to careful. And that kiss - that kiss he could now not stop thinking about, that lovely... amazing kiss - it proved to him he needed to keep watch on her.

She laced her arms around his neck and drew him deeper, and deeper into the kiss. What was it he said about Celestina? He loved her? Hmm, let’s think that over for a second. Alexandria thought he would pull away, but he didn’t. He kissed her back and God it was wonderful. She just couldn’t get enough. Alexandria moved her lips from his and kissed his jawbone and moved her kiss down to his neck. After all these years, these years of hate and despise, she still loved him. More than all the guys she’d been with. And damn there were a lot. Alexandria peered up at him and saw that his dark eyes, the dark eyes she’d stared into time and time again, were looking down at her. For once, he wasn’t looking at her in hate or ill will, he was looking at her like she was the best person in the whole world. It made her tingle and she brought her lips back to his. Her fingers tangled into his hair as she kissed him. It meant so much to her. These days, nothing meant anything to her. She’d become cold hearted, shut everyone out and messed up her life with drinking and drugs. She thought that being and jail was going to kill her without her liquor and her addictive pills. But she survived. And the only drug she needed right now was right in front of her.

She didn't feel comfortable sitting up in the dress, though it had stayed in good condition. It just wasn't Mercy anymore. She winked at him and slipped down the tree, landing neatly on her bare feet. She ran a hand through her hair and started to walk towards the direction the Patrols had dragged her from a few weeks ago.
