Jim didn’t even look at Adelaide when she spoke. If only she knew. He would run half of this place within the month. The corner of his mouth twitched into a small smirk when Rose spoke again. Sharp little thing, wasn’t she? His dark eyes remained fixed on John however, choosing to ignore them for a moment, eyes moving to lock on the shiny gold as it slipped out of his pocket.

As the crown was handed over, Jim’s face morphed into a charming grin immediately, taking the crown and unfolding it, setting it down on top of his head. “Oh I will, don’t you worry,” he said with a smile, straightening his back. Telling people about himself would be such fun. He loved telling stories. He turned to walk back to his chair, pausing briefly to turn his dark eyes on Adelaide again.

“You really might want to listen to her, sweetheart. You really have no idea,” he said easily, flashing another grin, this one slightly darker. He settled himself back in his seat, sprawling himself out, one arm propped up on the back of the chair, legs stretched out in front of him, and crossed at the ankle.

“Now, you wanted me to tell you about myself?” he asked, raising his eyebrows at John. “I’m Jim Moriarty. Hi~. I would say it’s nice to meet you, buuut,” he trailed off, giving a dramatic grimace, “I’d be lying. So. Let me tell you a little story.” Jim cleared his throat, putting on a false voice easily, as if telling stories to children.

“Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Jim. When he was only four years old, his Mummy caught him cutting apart small animals, hamsters, squirrels, birds, and the like. ‘It’s for science!’ he said. But his Mummy didn’t like that.” Jim shook his head, an almost regretful look on his face. “As Jim got older, he started to kill bigger animals. Dogs, cats, and a few raccoons. But this wasn’t for science anymore. No, this was fun. And as Jim went to school, kids laughed at him. He was the weird little smart kid. He knew things. He knew things about people, and about what they did, and how they worked. Nobody liked him,” his tone grew darker, his face slipping into a blank mask. “One day, there was a little boy named Carl Powers. He laughed at Jim. Jim stopped his heart. But everybody thought it was just a little accident. Poor little Carl drowned in a pool! Oops!” the dark haired teen smiled brightly again. “But since everybody thought it was an accident, the only reason I’m here is because my darling mother thinks I’m a psychopath. Quite rightly at that,” he shrugged nonchalantly, before looking around the circle, gauging their reactions.

Murder, or something along those lines, was what Jackie decided the boy had to be stuck in here for. She stayed their on the floor, when she realized things were about to get more interesting than she anticipated. There was a point where she tired of being angry, where her frustration when to the point where it no longer existed and she was calm. Normally, she would have just tripped him and been over it, but it was obvious he wasn't afraid to hit a girl. His words stung, but she really shouldn't have cared about what he claimed. He didn't know her, and he didn't know what she'd been through. Not that she had some sad sob story like most of the kids would most likely have here. Jackie could tell that he was the kind of person who didn't like anybody. Her eyebrows raised slightly at his story. A true killer. He had just confessed right then and there, so was it really safe for any of them to be here? The woman running the whole show seemed to have disappeared. She observed the boy carefully. Anyone could tell he was just on the edge of safety after his entire 'I'm king. Bow down to me' speech. It topped hers and everyone else's introduction. The first girl to receive the crown rolled her eyes and talked back to their apparent king.

That was when Jackie laughed, no matter how pathetic she looked just laying on the floor, propped by her elbows. She looked up at their new 'king' and laughed. "Our king is a murderer and his subjects are thieves and drug-addicts. What a fucked up kingdom we are." She said, somehow calm. She really was stuck in hell.

Rose could tell that this wasn’t going to end very well at all for anyone involved. She had been here for a while and she knew how much things could escalate when one person decided that it would be a good idea to act up. There were people here who were nervous and wanted nothing more than to get out of there at that very moment. She wasn’t usually one to play the hero but seeing as the counselor had run off, presumably to have a smoke, she decided that that was exactly what she had to be. The hero. Jim may be their self-proclaimed king, but she was the counsel.

She stood up and looked around before clearing her throat and bringing all the eyes to herself. “I believe that in the absence of our counselor it would be in our best interest that I put an end to this session. It was a very good session, I believe we got a lot out there and this is definitely something for everyone to think about.” She started, running her gaze around the room having it rest for a moment longer on Jim Moriarty. He was scary but she wouldn’t let him know she thought that. She held herself tall and she wore the mask of indifference that she would wear to anyone else. “Please have a nice, relaxed, weekend. And be on time for classes on Monday. Goodbye and goodnight.” She bowed slightly and watched as people looked between one another before getting up and walking out of the room one at a time, slowly trickling out as though wondering if she was allowed to do that.

Rose herself stayed where she was. She would take it upon herself to make sure that everyone was out of the room before closing up the room and possibly talking to the counselor about what had happened. She was by far one of the most mature people in the room, she wasn’t the oldest, but she attempted to talk in such a manner that her voice would have a calming affect. She didn’t have anyone she wanted to talk to after this. She had no place she had to be. If anyone wanted to talk to her she wouldn’t be opposed to it. Though she didn’t believe anyone could possibly have anything good to say to her. It never seemed like anyone did.

Rose fancied herself the most composed of all these people and she knew that people didn’t like that about her. She had noticed more than one person sneer at her or roll their eyes when she spoke as though just the sound of her voice pissed certain people off. She didn’t let it get to her anymore. People had been treating her like that ever since she was little. Her own mother had treated her like that. This was nothing unusual. She simply stood there with her hands clasped in front of her and her eyes scanning the room back and forth.

Dave had been very tense the entire time. He didn’t like this at all, this guy Jim was crazy. He was used to strange things but this guy was definitely something new. Bro had always been one who would kill an animal or two if it got in his way, but never for fun or anything like that. Dave had killed a crow once before and he had felt horrible about it afterwards. He didn’t know how a person could stomach taking a life. Then he remembered that he himself had almost killed a person and he retreated into himself to the sanctuary in the back of his mind where he didn’t have to think about anything.

The entire time his face was stoic. He didn’t let any emotion show on his face. It was better for people to think you were indifferent over how you really felt. That was how he grew up, Bro had taught him not to let people in on how you feel; it’ll keep you safe not letting people know what you know. So that was how he lived. Even if it made him seem a little bit awkward and made it hard to show his emotions when he meant to. At least he made up for that by being as attractive as he was. But then again it was hard to find anyone as attractive as a Strider.

When Rose said they could go he was gone. He hesitated for only a moment, not wanting to be the first one to leave the room. When he was gone he found himself letting out an exasperated sigh. He needed to get away from anything. He went to his room and noticed that someone else had started moving in and, oh shit, they had pets with them. This room was no longer calm enough for him.

He found a door that led to the roof. This was going to be his best friend for a while, he knew it. He opened the door with the ‘Staff Only’ sign on it and headed upstairs. He opened the door at the top of the stairs and stepped out onto the airy roof. This was nice. The wind ruffled his hair. The sun was beginning to set on the horizon turning the sky a brilliant red. The same red as his eyes. He took off his aviators and looked at the setting run for a little. Red locked on red. It felt like he could be back home.

He found a space away from the door and sat down, leaning his back against the fence that lined the entire roof. At least it wasn’t electrified. There were still a couple hours before he had to be back in bed. For now he would just chill on the roof and hope that no one came to bother him.

John was sort of really glad that Rose called this off. He didn’t even care if she had the authority to do it. John could tell that it was getting tense and really he didn’t want to be in the same room as Jim anymore either. He didn’t mind letting the other man keep his crown. He sort of had the feeling it was better to keep him happy anyway.

He left the room, but he didn’t hurry. He wasn’t sure he knew how to get back to his room and after a few minutes of fruitless searching he deemed himself completely right. He didn’t like wandering the halls like this much at all; he didn’t know what could be around the next corner.

He was in a hall full of classrooms. He paused at the end of the hallway though and peered into one of the rooms. He didn’t know what it was that drew him to this room but he was looking in anyway and he was glad that he did. There was no better way to unwind than to play the piano. At least, he couldn’t think of anything better. He tested the door and was glad to see it was unlocked. This had to be the music room. He was glad it was here. Instrument cases lined the walls but he was more concerned with the upright piano to one side of the room. He went over to it and sat down on the bench. Oh yeah, this was a lot better. He smiled as he tickled the ivories.

He began playing and didn’t know whether he would be able to stop, this made him feel so much calmer. More at home and he was upset to think that he was already feeling homesick. He didn’t want to be here, but as he played the slightly haunting refrain he felt calm. There was no sight of the trickster that had been in the discussion earlier, that boy was gone right now, replaced by a calm musician who didn’t have anything to do with this place.

Navy
Navy and Zaira were the first out of their. She hated that, it was so... so... so freaky. Navy was rushing to her room with Zaria close behind. She slammed the door when they were both in, "Jim is freaking insane. Is it safe for him to be here?" Navy paused and thought about what she just said, "That was a bad question." Navy went to sit on her bed and lied down with both hands behind her head. She closed her eyes and thought a minute about his story. No, not story, story makes it sound fake. Nope it was real, Navy knew that all to well, "Carl, Carl, hey wasn't that the name of the guy whose house and car you vandalized?" she asked slightly sitting up to look at Zaira who was now on the edge of Navy's bed.

Zaira
Zaira was being dragged through the almost empty hallways, speeding up slightly every few steps. She was almost at a run when they got to their room and was flung into the room. Navy was leaning against the door, panting. When she got her breath back she ask a very horrible question, then went to lay on the bed. Zaira sat at the foot then she asked her a question, "I didn't vandalize the house, just the car. And yeah it was. Okay that tired me out so I don't care if we can still stay up for a while more, I'm going to bed, you should to." she said as she stood up. Zaira turned to look at Navy who's already closing her eyes. She walked over to her bed, kick off her shoes and slept over the blankets.

Jim simply looked around the circle, taking in the shocked or concerned faces. His eyes came to rest on Jackie when she laughed, grinning widely at the words. So he was being acknowledged as King already. Good. That would make things much easier for everybody. “Oh yes. And what potential it has,” he laughed, grinning darkly. A kingdom of thieves and drug addicts. Perfect. Just add a little more danger, and they had the potential to be just what he needed in life.

He looked up at Rose however when she got to her feet. He grinned widely as she began to speak, seeing through her mask easily. Try as she might, the indifference didn’t fool him. She was afraid. Maybe not a whole lot, but it was there. He could see it in her eyes. He grinned widely, getting to his feet immediately, stretching his arms above his head.

“Such a good suggestion. This meeting was such a dull idea,” he drawled, letting out a long sigh. He shoved his hands in his pockets as he left the room, ignoring any of the looks people might give him. He dragged his feet on the way back to his new room, having only been inside once, to briefly drop off his things. He knew he had a roommate, and he was rather curious to find out who of these poor kids were unfortunate enough to share a room with him.

The Irish teen sighed as he walked into the room, flopping down on his bed. A whole weekend with nothing to do. Booooring. He was going to have to find something, or someone to amuse himself with. Playing with people was always fun. And they never saw it coming, either. What this place needed was some fun. He knew classes were likely to be dull, and these little group meetings were boring as well, though he did have the ability to make them a little more fun. Jim sighed, sprawling out on his bed, eyeing the door. Having a roommate would at least make things a little more interesting for him.

Adelaide let out a breath of relief when Rose announced that the little group session was over. "Thank you, Rose," she thought gratefully. Finally, the whole entire fiasco was over, and just in time, before their "fun" little group reached total chaos. Pulling on her jacket, Adelaide walked out without as much as a second glance behind her.

Walking out into the hallway with a few other students, Adelaide mulled over the evening's group session. It wasn't as bad as Adelaide had anticipated it to be. It wasn't as tortuous as Adelaide's daydreams about it had been. She met some people who had gone through the same stuff as her, but it wasn't like Adelaide was going to be "buddy-buddy" with any of them. At the end of the group session, Adelaide was almost sure there was going to be a fight, but Rose thankfully nipped it in the bud.

Adelaide strolled past a classroom. Her ears immediately caught onto the piano music wafting through the door. "Lovely," she thought. So someone at this place could actually master the piano afterall. But she didn't dare barge in and interrupt the music. She was too tired to do so.

Adelaide sighed deeply, as she made her way outside. Finally, some fresh air. She glanced down at her watch, she still had some time before she had to be in her dorm. Adelaide found a stray bench and laid down, her feet propped up against the side of the bench. "This place isn't so bad," Adelaide thought, looking up at the night sky. It was all still a living hell but not as bad as she expected it to be.

Jake
The Facility: Open! - Page 2 Alexevans36

Jake was glas when all this was done and over with, he didn't have to deal with it for another week. And it was now the weekend. Jake stood from his seat and walked out of the room followed by Sheaba. Jake walked down the hall to the door that lead out side. Heading out the door Jake sat on the steps leading up to the building, he wasn't even sure if we was supposed to be out here, by why did it matter any way. He didn't even want to be here, he shouldn't be here. Unlike the most of them he didn't even mean to do what he did. He had slipped up and he damned hisself for it every day.

Jake sighed and stood from where he sat on the steps. Turning around he walked back into the building and again down the long hall. He turned down the next hall that lead to his room and opened the door, falling over onto his bed and staring up at the ceiling. His large dog Spike walked over and sat his head on the edge of the bed. Jake patted the dog before sitting up and grabbing a botle of water. " This place is so boring.' He said to himself. " Nothing once so ever to do." Jake sighed and claced over at the clock.

((Just thought I'd bring my second character in, create some interaction here...))

Sherlock wandered down the hallways slowly, hardly paying attention to where he was walking. Walking was good, walking helped him think, away from the idiots this place was stuffed with. He was vaguely aware that there was somewhere he was supposed to be, but he hardly cared. His mind was on more important matters.

It was as he wandered, that his ear caught the faint sound of piano music. Intrigued, the dark haired teen made his way in the direction of the noise. It was apparent by the quality and clarity of the noise that it wasn’t a recording, and that somebody here had some musical talent. That was good. Something out of the normal, something that would make somebody stand out. And who knows, maybe this person would even be tolerable. It was doubtful, but you never know.

Upon finding the room where the noise was coming from, Sherlock stopped in the doorway, tilting his head at the sight of the boy sitting at the piano, seemingly lost in his own world as he played, much as he himself got. Pale blue eyes watched the boy for a moment longer before turning on his heel, setting off down the halls quickly, back the way towards his room, navigating the unfamiliar hallways with ease, as if he had been doing it for months. But really, it wasn’t difficult for him to keep a map in his head. Getting to his room, he retrieved his violin case quickly, making his way back to the music room in record time.

Entering silently, he set the case down on the floor gently, flicking the clasps open and withdrawing the shining instrument. Nestling it against his shoulder and chin, he picked up the bow, already rosined, timing the melody in his head easily, joining in with the boy’s playing flawlessly, picking something to accompany the piano music easily.

Jackie closed her eyes for a moment, breathing in and exhaling slowly. It was mostly silent as everyone exited, a few squeaks and mutters filling the room made by sneakers and the owners. She was surprised no one had stepped on her as they left, Jackie remaining on the floor while watching everyone go their separate ways. Except, there were a few pairs. It was obvious those people knew each other in some way, and some couples even seemed rather close. That was interesting. People already had their little connections. And now she could see who was already friends with who in this place. Hell, maybe if she got to know one person she could pick up information about another. You could tell a lot about people by the friends they hung out with. Jackie didn't exactly base her entire view of the person solely based off the person's friends; but it was always rare to find a group of metal-heads with mohawks and crazy-colored hair with one plain and simple girl who listen to country. Maybe staying on the ground and not rising showed as submissive, but she found that stepping back and watching was rather interesting. At least, it seemed more appropriate in this case considering there were rather dangerous people and no counselor present. Jackie wasn't a complete idiot. She knew when it was time to fade more into the background. She rose slowly, sitting up first and then jumping on her feet. One of the only other people in the room was Rose. She looked at the girl for a moment, solemn-faced and not really portraying any true emotion before walking past her and exiting the room by herself.

Jackie turned left and started to walk down the hallway, arms wrapped around her sides. She closed her eyes for a moment, liking the feeling of walking and having no idea where she was going. It was stupid, but she would often do it in the middle of the sidewalk and not care whether or not she tripped or got injured. It felt like you had walked such a short distance and in fact you went a long way, or vise versa. It was even better when she ran, and that's when Jackie realized she wasn't tired from that 'meeting'. In fact, it gave her even more energy. She really wasn't bothered by the fact Jim was a murderer. Of course, she wasn't going to hang out with the man because it was obvious he didn't like her and she wasn't so pleased with him, but she wasn't nearly as disturbed as most people would be. It was difficult to explain. She definitely didn't support murder... Where did this all even come from? She just continued walking, unsure of where her room was. She really wasn't paying attention lately. Shit.
