This is going to be a realistic wolf pack. I'm going to help you as much as I can with the help of the internet. xD. Welcome, to the call of the wild wolf pack.

Rules.

• I am the owner of this role play, what I say goes.

• I'm not asking you to be literate, but I want you to be correct. (Punctuation, Spelling, Capitalization, etc.)

• Again, Realistic, no powers, not god modeling, no cursing, no killing other wolves with out my and their permission. Not too much drama, ask me first.

• Don't be your own, mate/crush. And try and get the other person that mated with yours to play the pups too.

• Make a Male for every female, and a female for every male.

• NO Anime Pictures. That makes me angry.

• I decide what stays and what goes.

• Please, Please, don't go into detail with mating, or pup birth, that's just gross.

Courting/Mateing

Wolves mate for life, which means, once they choose a mate, they stay with that mate for the rest of there life. Normally only the alpha pair would mate, but on rare occasions, subordinates do mate with other wolves as well. Wolves who decide to mate, will go through what is called a 'courting period.' This will normally last for a day before the pair actaully mate. Mateing/breeding season for wolves usally occurs within the time period of late winter and early spring.

Breeding season for wolves takes place at any time in the winter months of January to April, but usally in February or March. The mother is pregnante for 9 weeks. Then she gives birth. (I will let time pass, if you only discuss it with your mate.)

Wolf Language


Nuzzles or Nuzzling: This expression/action is used when greeting others, or as a submissive act towards a higher ranking wolf.
Licking: Is an action used while greeting as well, and as a submissive posture. Normally lower ranking wolves will lick up at the higher ranking wolf under their chin, or on there muzzle.
Ears: Are very important to a wolf's survival. They use there fantastic sense of hearing to hunt down prey, listen for danger, etc. They can hear up to many miles away.
Teeth: There larg K9's extend up to 2 inches in length. They have a total of 4 K9's. Two in front and two on the bottom. These are used to ripe through tough hide and raw flesh. With their molars, they can crush the thigh bone of a moose.
Muzzle: They use there muzzle mostly to howl.
Paws: With there paws, they can run swiftly and easily on the top of the snow. They have webbed like feet that spread as they run/walk over the snow.
Nose: They can sence/smell prey from one to a half mile away. They use the wind as well, to let them know where prey is.
Submission: This gesture is one of friendliness, harmony, and the most expressed. This is a displayment of the lower ranking wolves within the pack. To show the wolf knows his/hers place and rank within the pack. A wolf showing submission will normally display, ears pinned back licking up at the dominate wolfs chin/muzzle, tail tucked or held low, head held lower then the dominate, and maybe a slight whimper ((An example of submission can be seen in the picture ABOVE)).
Passive Submission: This gesture is displayed, as well as performed, by a higher ranking wolf ((i.e. the Alpha or Beta)) showing authority upon or to a lower ranking subordinate wolf. This is to show the higher ranking wolf that he/she knows his/her place within the pack. A wolf will normally display "passive submission" by rolling on his/her back showing their underside, tail tucked inbetween his/her legs, with ears pinned back ((explained again later in this paragraph)). This is for more EXREME cases of submission. This type of submission doesn't happen often within a wolf pack, because there is alot of bonds and understanding between the members of the pack. A wolf displaying PASSIVE SUBMISSION, will immeditaly move onto their back showing their underside, tuck their tail inbetween his/her legs, ears pinned back, and neck revieled to the more dominate wolf ((normally an Alpha)). The reason why the subordinate shows their neck, is the more dominate wolf can chose wheather or not to attack, or accept the submission.

Alpha Pair:
Male and Female leaders of the pack. They often bond, or mate, for life, until either one dies.
Young Subordinates:
Male and Females, including the Beta Wolf (the second-ranking wolf)
Juveniles and Pups:
Both sexes. Ranks within this position can range anywhere from scout to caretaker ((except for pups. Until they grow older, they just remain the 'pack pups')).
The Omega Wolf:
Male or Female scapegoat (bears the brunt of the pack's frustrations and harassment and may be the last to feed, or will go without food when it is scarce).

The Alphas

This is one way you can tell who the ALPHA is. By rasing the tail, symbolizes a sort of "flag." The higher the tail, the more dominante the wolf.

The Betas

Second in rank, the beta helps the alpha with decissons as well as some other pack activities. With the pressence of the alpha gone, the beta will usally take over.

Subordinates

Includes pup's, omega, and adult members. There can be different ranks for any subordinates. Caretaker, pupsitter, hunter, etc. Subordinates sumit to the higher ranking wolves such as the alpha and/or beta. Usally by submissive behavior

The Omega

Is the lowist rank of any wolf pack. They are constantly being picked on, yet they are a very important part of a wolf pack. The omega relives tention within the pack, and is the last to eat. And sometimes, the omega gets picked on so much, they become lone wolves.

"Yes. Three males. Skull he's the strongest and largest out of the three. There's also Killer and Chain"

Kaylin smiled. "It would be great to have the 6 of you with me and my siblings here." She smiled. "Aiden, Marcus and Jenna are some where in the territory grounds. If you with to meet them, please do." She smiled.

I smile then the three of us bow

Skull
I jump out of the woods with Killer and Chain and land of the ground. Side my side you could tell I was larger. With my muscles flexing under my fur from landing.

Kaylin had saw Skull and smiled. She nodded to the faes and got back on her rock.

I look at the Alpha and nod. I then turn and walk over to their sisters

Jenna yawned, and stood up, she trotted to the food den, and got a rabbit. She began to chew on it.

I look around the camp with my milky golden brown eyes. I stand listening to the woods listening for any danger that could be near.

Aiden walked to Skull. "Aiden, Beta Male." He introduced himself, taller and stronger then Skull.
