Akira heard a thumping and looked at the stairs. Her dad was stumbling down it. She sighs,"Dad out!" She pointed at the door. He looked at her blearily then walked out. She locked the door and sighed,"he's drunk again."

Hunter: Just stood there not knowing what to say. His dad drank but never bad enough to get very drunk.

Akira waited for a second then pulled him to the ground,"duck" she muttered as she did so. A few seconds later a knife flew through the open window and hit the wall. "Yep. You learn your lesson after a few times." she closed the window and the curtains.
