He passes Jesse's phone to Jesse. He grabs the guitar, propping his feet on the side of Maddie's bed. He starts playing the song below. He sings along. It was an act of boredom.

Maddie

She watches, smiling. She thought Nick and Jesse were the most talented people she knew. She loved how Nick sang.

Jesse

He starts playing BrickBreaker on his face, listening to Nick.

He had his eyes closed, he always closed his eyes when sang. "Damn the sh*t gets hold." (Part of the song) He kept playing.

He watches Nick leave then looks at Maddie, "Where's he going?"

She shrugged.

He was out side of the hospital, smoking a cigarette. He leaned against the stone wall and blew smoke from his mouth.
