I clock out as I take a deep breath and put my drink tray back on the top of the stack. Well, at least all this work was worth it. I got $100 in tips! I stuff the money in my purse and check my cell phone. So, I should be able to get back to my place just in time to miss my roommate! Hah, thank heavens. I slip off my apron as I put my purse on my shoulder and head out the back door. I make my way to my car (a Volkswagen Jetta), and I slip inside, clipping on my seatbelt. I plop my purse on the passenger's seat and take a deep breath. Phew...

Devin:
I walk down the sidewalk, on the busy main street of downtown. Many people pass me and I pass other people too. My dark blue flannel shirt sways slightly with the breeze, and I stare down at my feet, and other peoples.

"Hey," he smiled at her.


Arrow

She goes back to her aparment. She pick up her little girl and smiled at her. She goes outside and she goes to a restraunt.

Mandie:
I close my eyes and put my hands on the steering wheel as I talk to myself. "Another day at work. Just more money in the bank for the baby." I can get through this on my own, and if I can't, I always have my brother. I start my car and pull it out of the staff parking lot, and I drive out to the road, and just....drive around I guess. I have nothing better to do than take a drive.

Devin:
Walking down the street, somehow I hear my stomach growl ferociously. I shrug and head into the closest restaurant I know of. I was already finished with my route for the day, and I had no more work to do at the post office. I hate it there, too. So that was a sure fire way to keep motivated.

She sees a guy come in. She smiles at him but orders for her and her daughter. She takes out her sketch pad and starts to draw random things. She smiles down at her daughter and then looks aorund again. She started to stare at the guy. Sketching him, she thought things over. Her ex boyfriend, her mom, her dad, and lastly Jordan, her brother.

Jordan

He smiles at her. "So where do you work?" He stands up and climbs the tree.

"Well, I'm a mechanic and I just got a job as a guitar player in a band."

I look up and see a girl smiling at me, and I smile back, chuckling a bit under my breath. I get sent to a table, and sit down. As I pick up my menu, I see that same girl staring at me. I look back down at my menu and chuckle a bit more. Surprising that she's looking at me. She has a little girl with her... Maybe the same thing happened to her as it did to my sister... Yeah, that would explain that.

She sees that she sees her staring at him. She tells Reanna to stay right there, she gets up and walks to his table. "Sorry if I was bothering you. I was just sketching you." She shows him the sketch then goes back to her table and sits down. She sketches Reanna with pizza sauce all over her face. She remembered the sad circumanstances(SP?) that made her have her little girl. It was bad, with a great outcome. She loved her little girl.

I take sips of my drink nonchalantly as I sneak glances of that girl out of the corner of my eye. That sketch was actually really good...You know what I'm used to drawing? Stick figures. So, pretty much anything past that is really good in my book, but that was legitimately really, really good. I decided that I would tell her, but not until she was about to leave. I didn't want to make it seem weird.

When her daughter and her finish their meals, Arrow pays and then they both stand up to leave. She sticks her sketch pad in her backpack and flashed a quick smile back to the guy then she starts to walk outside into the night air. "Mommy, mwe twired." She smiled down at her baby girl and picks her up.

I watch as the girl gets up and walks out the front. I leave a five dollar bill on the table, since I really didn't eat, but I had the free water. I walk quickly (I started to run, but I thought that was a bit obsessive) to the front door, and straight outside. A sudden burst of cool air sends a shiver down my spine, but I ignore it. I walk up behind the girl and slide in front of her (smoooth ;)). "You know, that sketch you did of me was really really good." A small smile appears on my face and my hair blows slightly in the breeze. "Sorry, I just felt that I should give you props on that."
