Isabella jumped and practically ran away when Rex appeared. She was deathly afraid of dogs.

Zak looked up at Bella. "oh yea I forgot you were afraid of dogs."

Isabella frowned. "no!" she stated wides eyed. "I just dont like them..." it was obvious she was afraid.

Isabella glared at Kat. "yea I'm afraid of Rex okay? I'm afraid of dogs. You don't have to make fun of me for it, you don't even know if I have a reason to be afraid or not." Bella went outside, she was happy she hadn't totally flipped out at Kat for that comment but she had no idea. She had had no right to make fun of her for her fear. She wasn't the girl who went around stabbing everything that moved suddenly because she was paranoid.

Zak looked over at Kat and pulled her up and out of the room. "listen Kat, Bella's dad had these dogs and her dad wasn't the best person always beating them and leaving them outside. When Bella was like six she tried to help them and they attacked her. She was in the hospital for two months and had to have surgery on her face and arm. Shes been terrified of dogs ever since and she took your question like you were making fun of her for being afraid. If that sort of thing had happened to you you would be afraid too right?"
