Re: Dark Nights.
Nella just kind of stands there, her small hands clutching the bow so hard her knuckles have turned white. She had killed 2 people today. 2! Thats more than she has in her whole time here! She is truly, truly shocked. She would prefer to simply fall on the ground and scream right now, but Nella pulls herself together somehow and shakes the thoughts from her head. She had other things to focus on, being that there was a war and all going on right now. "Daravia killed the 2 guys when we were together. They gave her those." Nella points to her arm and shoulder, which both had stab wounds, bruises and blood covering them. She hadn't realized how bad they were until now, and her body does a little shiver at the sight of them. "Here. Put this around them. It'll keep the infection away." She takes the gauze bandage out of her backpack and throws it to Daravia, smiling a little bit. She had no choice but to be nice to her now. She had saved her life when they were travelling together, and she owed her everything because of it.
"We should go. Definitely. Were trying to prove that Side Z is in charge(or side A, whetever side their on right now im still confused about that), and staying over here like whimps won't help our cause. Hell, they'll probably even find it as an advantage and come ambush us. We should go over, spy or kill or do whatever we can, and then come back and report to the other members what we found." If we make it alive, she thinks, but of course doesn't say it. "But stay together. We don't want that whole scary trap thing to happen and make Nella and Daravia save the day again." Nella felt safe in their little group, and now Ivy and Caleb knew she was actually worth keeping around. She'd saved the day! Like The X Factor saved One Direction. (: Without them their would be no Ziall! Or Larry Stylinson! But most importantly no One Direction amazingness songs. And you know nobody could live without that. SORRY I HAD TO IT WAS PERFECT.<3

Kennedy Anne Braxton.
Age: Seventeen.
Gender: Female.
Side: Z.
Song: Skyscraper--Demi Lovato.
Boyfriend:
Personality: Kennedy has always been strong. From the day she watched her family die right in front of her eyes to now, when half the world is plotting her death. She's got the tough girl act down, not taking orders from anybody and living on the edge. She kills without any trace of regret or sorrow, her motto being 'better them than me.' She walks around like she owns the world, without a care and living in the moment. But every girl has her secret right? On the inside, she is breaking. Each kill breaks her a little bit more, and she wakes up everyday not thinking she is good enough. You could have helped your team more, Kennedy. You could have ran quicker, Kennedy. Why don't you just let somebody kill you, Kennedy? Your no help to anybody anyway. Those thoughts run through her mind every second, but nobody realizes. It would make her seem weak. So she bottles it up inside, and acts like everything is okay. But who knows when she will finally crack?

Re: Dark Nights.
Caleb looked around, making sure nobody else was in sight. He was in pretty bad shape, but a goods night rest and a dip in a pond or something would make him feel better. He grumbled and mumbled a few not so sunny words about Daravia under his breath, but kept his cool and he payed attention to the girls speaking. "Yeah, we should stay together." He agreed for once with Daravia, the thought even made him smirk a little.
It was like Caleb had read Ivy's mind when he spoke next, "If anything, those kids from Side Z will come after Daravia and me first. So next time we decide to split up, Daravia should be with someone, and I will be with someone, not together." He didn't say it out loud, but he knew without them, the whole Side A would crumble down slowly. "But we won't be splitting up for a while, not until you get over the impact," Caleb said to Ivy, "and you get the wound fixed." He pointed at Daravias bloddy wound that was aready scabbing over a bit on the edges.
"Personally, I think we should find a place to rest right now." He looked at the sun, it was already setting, and night was a scary place. "If we go any further at this time, we will get killed, easily. We might be tough, but once we cross garther on this imaginary border line, we're burnt toast!" He looked at the girls. "So, do you guys know any good places to find some rest?" He knew that they would possibly get three hours of sleep, if that, and then make for Side Z again.
Julliette sighed, and ran her fingers through her stringy dark brown hair and thought a bit. "Ok, I know one or two girls, but I'm not sure they will be up for it. They aren't common with Side A's land, but I can convince them if I tell them they can take some of the weapons that I collect." Julliete bit her lip lightly as she thought "I know another boy also, but he is wounded right now. He has a bad arm, his throwing arm for his arrows, and I'm not sure if we want a cripple on our side right now. What do you think?"
She smirked a little at him. "Listen, all we need to think about right now is who we need to get, and when we do this. We decided that. Tomorrow morning, they will get little sleep, I've seen the looks in their eyes. I already know who to get, and besides, that will give us time to get ready. We need to gather the people, and sharpen our weapons."
Julliete looked around and whispered to him. "The plan is, is that we take all the people we can get, weak of course, but we might need one strong one that isn't with them. We take them back here, get the word out about these people being captured, and Caleb and that other girl are sure to come crawling over here. They might be strong, but Caleb loves to show a point, and this is the perfect chance. When they come, we chit chat for a bit, seem compromising, offer to let them go... and then we strike. We go for the strongest. Got it?"

Re: Dark Nights.
Chris nodded. Her plan sounded perfectly reasonable. It has been used throughout history and continues to work its magic, over and over again. Weapons. They obviously can't take more than they can carry. He made a list of weapons that he had seen throughout the years, scrolling through them inside his head. It was obvious that they were very well equipped, compared to the other sides. Side Z wasn't that far behind them, but it was still a big enough gap in supplies to make a difference. But weapons could never max out wits. It was Side Z's reputation, even back when there were four groups around. Side Z had always been the team with the best strategists. A combination would be gold.
She must've understood that the nod required no further words. They didn't want to say too much, just in case someone was watching. Tomorrow it is. It was a bit nerve wracking to have a lot of them in one group. If all goes wrong, they could rally a force and rebel. That has happened before as well.
"Got a range?" They won't risk a party for one or two, of course. And again, too many could cause an uproar. A group of five or so physically and mentally drained members plus one or two others seemed like a safe bet. That five wouldn't have any urge to care anymore, despite whatever the two try to say. It's like that monkey isolation experiment long ago: they were drained from isolation and had no motivation to live anymore. Chris brushed the dirt off of his face, out of his eyes.
It had to be well worth the risk. The confidence almost radiated from Julliette's expression. Her reputation was known to all for being one to devise plans right off the back. There was no doubt in his mind that she would be able to think up a backup plan in case this fails. But with this plan: recruit a team now? It might be a risk to wait. "We won't have a lot of time before they start looking for traps and plans. We'll have to pull together a team by night. I know another guy who might be willing to go, if Side A hadn't already shot him down."

Re: Dark Nights.
Daravia
"I would never want you as a partner anyway," she mumbled when Caleb said Daravia shouldn't go with him if they ever split up again. Caleb was a potential threat to her at times, and at other times he was useless; getting caught in traps and almost killed. "If we do split up again I want to go with Ivy since clearly Caleb needs Nella's help fighting," she decided. Daravia turned to Ivy. "You'll have a better chance of surviving with me anyway," she said with a smirk. Hopefully when Daravia and Ivy went together Ivy would be more helpful to her than she was to Caleb.
Of course Caleb went back to being Mister Leader Man again, telling everyone what they were going to do. This time Daravia stayed silent since she didn't disagree with what his plans were. She checked her wounds which seemed to be stopping their bleeding more or less and decided she should clean them out before bandaging them properly as soon as they were back on Side A ground.
"Should someone stay up and keep guard while we sleep?" she suggested. Daravia didn't go through that whole massacre just to end up killed in her sleep.
"We should go back to town. I usually stay in an overturned dumpster. It's heavy so it would take a while to lift up if someone is going to try to attack us plus it's not really a place anyone would think to look for people," she suggested with a shrug. It wasn't the best place, but it was something. And anyway, there weren't really any other places to go where you'd be hidden without cameoflauge besides the houses which were pretty much destroyed by now and the first place anyone from Side Z would look had they infultrated Side A.

Re: Dark Nights.
It hurt a little, hearing Daravia's comment. The sad part was, it hurt because it holds some truth. Ivy did need to tag along with someone to survive. It was like a kid requiring a parent, a babysitter, a guardian...
Screw.
Ivy shut her mouth. She couldn't run her mouth like she did before the war. A mouth like that will get her killed, especially since she wasn't a necessity. They didn't need her to think up a good plan. They actually do a lot of it themselves. She was just one to wrap it all up into one, adding her observations and whatnot.
"The dumpster might fit you, but that's about it. You can't expect four of us to crowd in there, right?" she questioned. "But again, I have no real place myself. I sleep wherever I can find space." She shrugged. "Just somewhere where it's not obviously in plain sight."
OOC: Sorry, short post.

Re: Dark Nights.
Caleb chuckled a bit to himself, shaking his head in absolute pity for Daravia. It must have been horrible to have such a dark little mind, but have nobody take you seriously around here. Well, at least he didn't. The girl acted tough as nails, but he can rip her apart like a thin piece of paper easily with his bare hands, but he chose not to. The girl was, in fact, good looking for such a cold hearted bitch. Actually, the thought if she even had a real beating heart crossed his mind a few times. Was it, well, real? Or just a piece of cold hard stone with many cracks all around? It was something to think about, and he did this all while listening to her and Ivy. He thought of some smartass comment he could say, like usual, but there really wasn't any openings for it, so he just kept his mouth shut until they stopped talking. Then, of course, he thought of a dick comment.
"You sleep in a dumpster?" Caleb said, smirking at Daravia sort of micheviously, a glimmer in his dark brown eyes. "That isn't very hard to believe, with pest like you and all." He chuckled to himself.
Caleb gave the dumpster a thought, but the thought of squishing next to four people, four girls he wasn't even very attracted to for that matter, disturbed him. Besides, if he got to close to Daravia she might bite his arm off, and his good arm too. So he decided on something else. "I say two people sleep in the dumpster. Ivy is right, no change there. We can't fit in four people in that tiny little dumpster unless we want to sit on eachother the whole night. So, Daravia can take her natural habitat at the dumpster, and I'll join you."
He put his hand up before she refused and decided to run her sassy little comments. He looked at Ivy and Kennedy. "You two can sleep in a tree. You're both lean enough to fit up there and not break the branches, Daravia and I are to strong for that, we'll go tumbling down." He thought a bit. "Spread out though, both of you. Away from Side A, but away from Side Z also. More like, right in the middle, on a very high tree."
"When you guys are settled in, give us a sign, a whistle or something. We will whistle back if we are the same. If you are in trouble, I want you to scream. LOUD. Got it?"
Julliette looked at Chris up and down, sizing him up for battle. They both knew only a few made it out alive, would they both be alive in the end? She wouldn't want to loose Chris, even though they were anything but 'buddy buddy'. They were aquancintces, for sure. She knew their relationship was more like a strict fighting one. They help eachother when needed, then go on with their buisness. 'Give you this, for that' is what she thought when she thought of their friendship. She was glad, though, to be able to trust at least one person with her life in this hell hole of a place. She knew the feeling was mutal. Julliete took off her rugged boots and dumped them out, pebbles and dirt falling out on her toe tips. She brushed her feet out, indents of the pebbles on her feet. At least she knew why they hurt so bad. She laced her dark black boots up and looked at him.
"I would say about five to six would have to do it. That Caleb boy wants some eye candy to really get him motivated. I'm sure he likes the pretty girls, he looks like the type of guy. Daravia, I think that's her name, she will just kill anything in sight. Those other two girls, I think they are bystanders, but watch for them as well, hidden talents are no surprise here." Julliette gave what she said a long thought. "We have to make sure those people have no weapons, I want nothing on the captives. We will use their weapons against the gang of four."
Julliete sighed and ran her finers over her wounded hang, and looked at Chris. "Get the boy, whatever his name is, we need him. I have people willing to fight as well, so lets go. Meet me in the morning, explain the plan to him tonight so he is clear of what to do this morning."
Julliete ran outside, her boots taking her far, her brown strangely braid flying behind her. Her bows and arrows were strapped to her back, but her ammo was low. She was looking for arrows, but she knew that if she didn't find some soon, the bow was useless, unless it's used for a hand fighting weapon. She grabbed the trunk of a tree, but before swinging off, she looked back at Chris.
"Stay safe, Chief. We have a long day ahead of us."
A small smile played her lips before she climbed the tree, grabbed the branches, and jumped from branch to branch like a monkey.

Re: Dark Nights.
Daravia
"Oh," she said quietly. She forgot to think there would be four of them who needed somewhere to sleep instead of just her. Daravia was so accustomed to looking out for herself that she forgot she had to be thinking as a team now, thinking about how to take care of four people rather than just one. Caleb's loud annoying voice pulled her from her thoughts.
"Well at least I have somewhere safe to sleep. Since you're so thinkheaded you probably sleep out in the open rolling around in squirrel poop. That would explain your odor, too," she grumbled.
Oh HEEEEEEEEEEEELL no I am NOT sleeping in a tiny enclosed space with that scumbag, Daravia thought to herself. Just as she opened her mouth to speak Caleb put his hand in her face to shut her up. She clenched her fists and bit his hand only enough to make some impression marks. "Keep your dirty hands away from my face," she mumbled under her breath, crossing her arms.
Daravia smiled when Caleb admitted she was strong. If only she had a tape recorder, she would torture him forever. She tuned him out as he went on to boss around Kennedy and Ivy. Thinking about her strength gave her an idea. She and Caleb would be alone in that dumpster with Kennedy and Ivy far far away from them. She could wait till he was asleep and just slit his throat. Just like that. Then she wouldn't have to worry about him later on. But then again, that could turn Kennedy and Ivy against her. Besides that, she did kind of need him to help with Tree Girl and her posse. If Ivy and Kennedy got killed and Daravia had to face them alone, she could never take them. Caleb was less likely to get killed so he would be able to help her against tree girl and whoever else on side Z was strong. So she couldn't kill him. Maybe just cut out his tongue to shut him up. If only he wouldn't kill her for doing that XD So she would leave him alone. For now. Hopefully he would realize he would need Daravia too so he wouldn't be a threat to her.
"So are we ready to go?" she asked when she realized everyone had quieted down.

Re: Dark Nights.
Chris had traded his branch section for a metal bar back at the first meeting. It wasn't much of a difference from his original weapon, still a melee weapon, but it was definitely an improvement from a hunk of wood. Immediately after Julliette darted into the woods, he himself made a run for the opposite direction.
"Jack! Open up!" he hissed. There wasn't much left of the door, but it was still enough that he couldn't get in. Planks of wood can really build a nice makeshift barrier. "Jack!" Chris stopped for a moment to listen for any sound. And living sound. He wasn't entirely sure if Jack was still in his residence.
It was faint, but he could hear breathing. Breathing close to the door.
Dear Lord, if this is A--! He hear his heart rushing, and the sweat beads rolled down his brow. Just as he was about to swing, a small voice whispered through the cracks, "Chris?"
It was Jack's young daughter. She had been born in the first year of the war. It was a miracle that the girl survived. "Where's your dad? This is important." She shook her head and backed up.
Again, Chris repeated, "Where's you dad? I need to talk to him!" The girl ran inside, and the sound of her footsteps began to fade. A second later, a man in his early twenties appeared at the door. It took him a moment to realize that the man was Jack; he looked much older than twenties. "You're needed for a mission. Can't tell you anything here, someone might see," Chris informed bluntly. No questions asked, Jack followed him out to the woods, leaving his pregnant girlfriend and daughter securely bolted in the home.
Ivy did as she was told. "I'll meet you tomorrow," she nodded to her team members. Team, for lack of a better term. "I'm not going to go too far from them or you," she told Kennedy. It was more for her own sake, so Kennedy would know where she was. Ivy wondered if it brought any assurance to the girl. She had her own reputation for being a "tough girl" herself.
Locating a probably safe tree, Ivy pulled herself up branch by branch with ease. It wasn't hard for her to climb trees. She had done it all throughout her childhood with friends. They would always have races to see who could get to the top first. Ivy wasn't the fastest to reach the top, but she always managed to come close. After securing herself where she would be able to see within a few miles radius, she took her jacket and tied herself to the branch. In case something were to happen that she'd fall out. That would be a sucky death for such a long war.
A few flickers of fire in the distance told her that others were camping around as well. Ivy decided against informing the others. It's too much of a risk to go now. Besides, it'll take a while for people to get through these woods. The vegetation was thick.

Re: Dark Nights.
Kennedy agrees to everything, blah. And once everybody finishes talking, she heads off with Ivy to the tall trees. "Sure. Just make sure if I scream, you can hear." She says, smirking slightly. "Night." Kennedy waves and heads on her way, weaving in and out through the trees until she is about a half mile away. She finds a fairly tall tree and takes out her knives, stabbing them into the tough bark so she can get a grip as she climbs. She climbs higher and higher until she can place her body on a branch and she pulls her small body onto it, smiling in satisfaction when it doesnt snap. So, Kennedy uses her rope and ties it around her abdomen&the trunk, securing her from falling. She places the spear under her thigh just in case somebody comes to attack, and also keeps all her knives in her tool belt thingie. "Please dont let me die tonight." Kennedy mumurs to herself, not praying to anything but saying it as a kind of security to herself. Right before she closes her eyes to fall to sleep, she lets out a whistle of her favorite lullaby to assure everybody she is ok. not that anybody would care. Her mind thinks, but she shakes the thought away and falls asleep.

Re: Dark Nights.
Caleb knew his way to the dumpster, though he only saw it once. He let Daravia lead the way though as he nodded to her question. They setted out for their place to sleep for the night, and it was very quiet between them. Daravia stamped when she walked, her fists in balls, and Caleb stranded behind, kicking pebbles and left behind arrow heads that were in no good shape. They were rusted and had crusted over blood on them. The thought that it was human, not animal blood, it kind of gave him the spooks. Never in a million years would he have thought that he would be here, with people out to kill him. He knew he wasn't a great guy, but murder... thst was a bad thing. And he had done it plenty of times.
He hated the fact that every night he went to bed, he had to think of all the lives he had taken. Caleb shook it off, though, not anting to get all teary eyed in front of anyone, especially Daravia. That would ruin his reputation to her, she would see him as weak, and that's the last thing you want. Espeically with a girl like her, it could be the death of you.
They arrived at the dumpster and Caleb looked around. There were several blood stains around the dumpster and lots of flies. There were a few food wrappers, even, but Caleb didn't know how anyone could find fresh food here. Unless it was a living animal. Dust covered the peeling green dumpster, and Caleb ran his fingers down it. He got a little splinter of rust, and took it out, and sighed.
"Let's go check our bed."
Our bed, what a weird thing to say to her. He climbed in, and lucky for them, it only had one thing inside of it, and that was a broken bow. He threw it out, it reminded him to much of Tree Girl. He snuggled in the corner, and looked at Daravia. "Do you ever feel.. bad." He asked, letting the question delicatley escpae his lips.

Re: Dark Nights.
Daravia
Once everyone was set to leave, she spun on her heels and began the walk to her dumpster. She looked straight ahead, head held high as she led the way. Maybe instead of killing Caleb, which she obviously wouldn't be doing anytime soon, she could get him to help her eliminate some weak competition on their side to make sure they dont get more powerful later on. Its like they say, strike when the iron is hot or something like that. Well in their case its kill while the enemy is weak. The enemy being anyone and everyone.
Then Caleb asked her a question that pulled her from her planning. Her eyebrows went up in surprise. She never expected Caleb to have...feelings or remorse. She looked at the bottom of the smelly dumpster and thought a moment.
"Somewhere I do," she admitted quietly. Then she sighed and opened her mouth to speak again.
"I don't think about it. I don't know what happened to your family, but if its something like what I went through you learn to stay emotionless and not let things affect you. I don't think about anyone I killed. I just think ahead and plan my survival. My mom gave her life so I could live. She was the only person who ever loved me and cared about me. And I loved her too. I'm not going to let her down. I'm going to survive no matter what and someday I will find a way to make things right. Besides, everyone is going to die eventually. We just speed it up," she explained. "It's easier if you believe in heaven," she whispered. She bit her lip and swallowed, quickly composing herself before her eyes watered up. Her mother believed in heaven. As Daravia watched her die so many years ago, her mother had told her something.
I'll be okay honey, I'm on my way to heaven where everyone is always happy.
Daravia had to believe in heaven and she had to believe everyone went there. That was the only thing that kept her going, the thought that her mom was in a better place. Though she honestly thought all that stuff was bullshit, she never stopped trying to convince herself, even pretend heaven was real. She just had to think her mom was in a happy place.

Re: Dark Nights.
He looked at Daravia and held back the urge to.. hug her. His arms wanted to wrap around her tiny but firm waist and hug her. He saw the tears prickled on the edges of her eyes, and he felt is heart shatter just a bit for her, but he kept himself together. He took a big gasp of air and ran his fingers through his messy hair, his eyes never leaving her face. Caleb bit his lip lightly and scooted towards her, facing her, his feet touching her feet and he cross his arms over his chest as he leaned back. Caleb removed his eyes from her face to the night sky, another stareless night, the sounds of screams could be heard from miles away, and he would always shutter upon hearing one.
"I feel bad." He stated plainly, as if everyone already knew the boy that killed for what people said fun, had actual remorse. "I still remember my first kill like it was yesterday. I was only a newbie to my weapons, barely realizing how to handle them, but I was good with my hands. Really, I could crack, break, tear anything." He showed her his muscular hands, the scars that outlined his whole hand. "I was with a couple of other Side Z members, and we were gathered around a fire, laughing and having a good itme." The members, they were all dead now, except for Travis, but Travis and him.. they never spoke until today. And that didn't go well.
"I heard a crackling of leaves, and I pointed it out and we all go silent. The thunder could be heard from the distance, so I thought it was that, but then we heard a moan. I got out my weapon, a rusty blade, and so did everyone else. We didn't want to go out and check who or what it was, so we did rock, paper, sisscors for it, and of course, I had to go. Travis, he pushed me up there and they all backed up a little. I tiptoed over there, my heart pumping fast, my body shaing. Remember, my innocnece, it was already slowly fading, but I still had not had it completly gone, but this death did the trick."
"As I walked out, I found a small little boy, about the age of 13, curled up in a ball. His skin was brown, his hair was a messy black, and blood covered his body, dried of course. He looked at me with fear and said to me 'I come in peace'. I was laughing to myself, and still do sometimes. I mean, the kid, he thought this was some alien movie or something." Sad or not, Caleb always had his smartass comments coming out of his ass. "I told him that he should leave or it will turn ugly, and he ignored me and tried to crawl underneath me to the fire. I knew he wasn't from Side Z, and I paniced. I grabbed his holy shirt and forced him up, looking him fiercly in the eyes. I told him that if he didn't leave, I'll kill him. He told me I wouldn't kill him, that I was to innocent."
Caleb chucked a little "Me, innocent..." He looked at the dumpster ground. "I threw him down on the ground and got on top of him, sitting down on him with all my weight, and I cracked my knuckles. I told him that I was anything but inncoent. He had his fear replaced with laughter as he said that I was a coward.." Caleb closed his eyes. "He had the most bluest eyes ever. They were like the sea. I drained them..." He shuddered "I grabbed his head with my two bare hands and growled almost.. that's when fear went in his eyes. 'please, don't, Mr.' I didn't listen as I turned his head and hearing his neck crack, the bones making an eerie sound. I dropped his body and his eyes were drained of color, those gorgeous eyes, they were gray now."
Caleb took lots of breathes, trying to hold in the tears. "Every time I go to bed, I see that brown face and unique eyes stare back at me. It haunts me I stole a little boys life. I learned that he had a family, two little sisters, a pregnant mom, and a Dad who was happy.. a normal family. He was only 13, and he was a straight A student."
Caleb looked at her, tears on the brim of his eyes.

Re: Dark Nights.
Daravia
She quietly listened to his story. Out of all of the people in the world, he had chosen her to tell his story to.
"Cry. Let it out. When my mom died I cried all the water out of me. I cried until I was still crying but there were no more tears to come out. Just let it out and let go of it. You have to let go of the past. Don't think about it. You did that kid a favor. You spared him the pain of watching his family get picked off one by one. The emotional torture of watching the people you love die is unbearable. Sometimes you even want to kill yourself," she paused a moment and glanced down at her wrists. Of course she had scars everywhere and she could just say they were from a battle, but inside she knew those scars on her wrists were from when her mother died before she realized her mom gave her life so Daravia could keep living. "Maybe he would've killed himself anyway. And it's like I said before, everyone dies eventually. He's in a better place now," she told him.
Daravia sighed and before she could change her mind, hugged him. As she hugged him she whispered into his ear, "If you tell anyone about this, I'll cut out your tongue so you won't be able to tell anyone anything ever again," she threatened. But as she pulled away from the hug she was smiling a little.
"Everyone you kill goes to heaven. Just try to believe that. It helps. Don't think about the people you kill. They are gone and they would die at some point anyway. You can't escape death," she told him.
There was a moment of silence between them before Daravia spoke again. "Why me? Why was I the one you wanted to talk to about all this?" She pressed her back against the side of the dumpster and pulled her knees to her chest, fixing her hood over her face and peering at Caleb with her bright green eyes.

Re: Dark Nights.
He cried, he did cry for the very first time in years. Everything just sort of flodded out of him, and his head was on Daravia's shoulder as she held him and his eyes slowly became red and puffy. He coughed, choking on his tears, and his body shook from it. Caleb thought of every life he took, of his dead mother who was so innocent, her laughter reminded him of happiness, but now all he remembered was her painful screams as she pulled the arrow from her stomach. And his father... Caleb cried harder. Just thinking of the bastard and all the scars he caused on his body made him want to scream, throw this dumpster a thousand miles, and smash walls and rip hair out. But he just cried it out, just like Daravia told him to, and there were a lot of feelings and tears he bottled up inside that nobody would ever been able to see form seeing him.
"I won't tell anyone." He whispered, sniffling and cocking his head up from her shoulder and looking down at his hands. "Tell anyone I cried like that and I'll sew your mouth together, maybe even possibly take your eyes out, just so you can't see me crying, ever again. Which won't happen." He moved to the other side of the dumpster again, and rubbed his pffy eyes, a few remaining tears slipping out from the breakdown.
He looked at her when she asked. Why did she become the one to crack him open? Was it beause she was attractive? Difficult? Different? He couldn't put his finger on it, but it was something about her that ticked that made him just.. open up. "I honeatly don't know.." He murmured and glanced at her. "I mean, it just kind of tumbled out. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't just tell anyone.. but I guess when you told me your story, I felt like I could trust you."
He smirked slightly at her "This doesn't make us okay though does it? Right after this dramatic fest, we go back to despising and plotting eachothers deaths?" He joked lightly.

Re: Dark Nights.
Daravia
"Ha, you couldn't sew my mouth shut or rip my eyes out if you tried. We already know we are pretty much an even match for each other. You give me one scratch, I give you one. Whatever you do to me I will do to you so be careful," she threatened. She wasn't sure if they were still an even match for each other, but she sure as hell didn't want to find out anytime soon. When the time came to get rid of Caleb, she didn't want to do it alone. Daravia decided Caleb went through enough emotional shit and she would only provoke him physically if he started it. Childish, but whatever.
She quietly nodded. She did tell her story first, but he wasn't the only one she ever told. Though the other people she had told were long gone by now. She was pretty sure she was the first person he told about his first kill and how bad it bothered him since he had SO MANY tears.
Daravia looked up at him and rolled her eyes. "Just because you told me something sad doesn't mean I don't still think you're a scumbag. Now stfu and go to bed I'm tired," she said, curling up on her side of the dumpster, purposely kicking his legs out of her way to give herself more room before she closed her eyes. She stayed awake though, she still didn't trust Caleb with her life, but after a while decided he wasn't going to try anything ad she could sleep. She drifted off, keeping her hand on her switchblade in her pocket just in case.

Re: Dark Nights.
time change: fast forward to the next morning.
If it wasn't Daravia's constant mumbling in her sleep that had woken him up, then it had to be the big bang on his head he got when he scooted back in his sleep. He groaned in pain, and clenched his fist and teeth. "God fucking dammit, great way to wake myself up in the morning." He said to himself, sighing, and holding his hand on his head. He could already feel the bump and pressed on it lightly, pain tingiling through his body. Again, he sighed. Today was just not his day, and for some odd reason, he had a feeling the rest of the day was going to be worse then just a slight bump on a dumpster side.
Caleb forced himself up with his hand and stretched his arms out on his sides and let out an enormous yawn, his mouth stretching a mile. He shook himself awake and then scooted to Daravia, smirking a bit. He could do so much stuff while she was asleep, like kill her. But something stuopped him, wether the reminder of yesterday's conversation ,or the fact that deep down he knew he needed her for this battle, wether he liked to admit it or not. He set his hand on her shoulder and shivered at the cold touch. So, he was correct. She was, in fact, cold blodded. Caleb chuckled at his little joke and shook her awake, smirking. "Rise and shine, sweetheart. Today's another fantastic day of curdling screams, ripe blood, and tramutizing deaths."
He forced himself up and jumped right out of ther dumpster, and leaned against his bed for the previous night. He had a back ache from sleeping in such a tight space, and he managed to stretch it out a bit. Standing helped, but his muscles were still tight. Caleb's brown hair was fairly messy, but a couple brushes with his finger tamed it just a bit. His dirty shirt was wrinkly now, and it started to even smell a bit, but you couldn't notice unless it was pointed out. As for his pants, well, holes were everywhere, and that wasn't good. He really needed new clothes, but where could he find them? Killing someone his size would be good, and he nodded. So, his agenda was already started. Kill someone close to your size for new clothes. Woah, Caleb thought to himself, never thought I'd be killing for clothes.
He searched around for Ivy and Kennedy. They should be here any minute now..
Julliete got a decent nights rest, but she was all ancy for her plan the coming day. She couldn't believe she was about to go capture, possibly kill, some members right in front of those jerks on Side Z. Julliete dreamed of this every day, every moment, to see the day they will get defeated, and today just might be the day. If it was, well, Julliete just might cry tears of joy she would be so happy. After all the suffering Side A had been through with Side Z, Side A deserved some happiness. They always despised eachother more then any other teams, it was a full on hate relationship. Sometimes, it was scary thinking of all those people out to get you, but then again, fear was only going to get you killed here, and Julliete was going to make it out alive and she knew it. Julliete also knew she would be the one to kill Caleb, she just had to find the right day, the right time... Maybe today was the day.
She jumped up and grabbed the fish bones she used for a comb, running it through her hair. She wanted to look her very best today, it's not everyday you kill 6 people in one day. The sad thing was, well, she was happy to do this. Not scared, or sad, or even nervous. She was anxious and ready to stab those filthy Side Z hooligans with that ninja star, running it down Daravia's skin and smirking at her ruethfully as she cut her with it. Nobody messed with Julliette and got away with it.
She had dipped her clothes in a lake a previous night and set them out to dry.. so yes, she did sleep in the nude, but the wind felt nice against her body when she did, and it was a good thing she knew where the smooth trees are, not the prickly pine trees. Thinking of sleeping bare in a pine tree kind of shook her up. Julliete grabbed her undergardments and slipped them on, along with her tight black leather pants that were clean, yet wrinkled, and not in the best shape, but at least they were dirt free. She put on her holy black tank top and the brown leather jacket and jumped from the tree, landing on her feet like a cat. She grabbed her arrows that she hid in a bush not to far ahead and swung them over her shoulder, and made a run for Chris, knwoing where she was, because, wel, it was a common instinct? I don't know.
Julliete found Chris and smirked as she walked up to him. "I told my fellow members of this little plan to meet me behind the small house on the corner to the right. They should all be huddled up in there, and safe. They are armed and ready to go, and I hope you got all your members to do the same. You brought people, right?" She remembered how hesitant he sounded when he mentioned on who he could bring, and that kind of worried Julliete.

"Got'em," Chris replied. One guy was enough because, again, their squad couldn't be an ambush party. "I don't know what he got with him, though. I couldn't see if he grabbed anything because I came to get him at night."
The two of them took different routes back to the meeting location. Both knew their way around Side Z territory well enough. Out in the east, Chris could see the sky begin to illuminate. The sun had not reached the horizon yet, but the soft glow told him that it would be a matter of an hour or two. He met up with Jack about a half mile in. Just as he had guessed, the man was armed with his share of knives and probably other weapons stashed in his jacket.
Julliette had arrived at the destination first, since Chris had taken a longer path. Scanning the group, he recognized the majority. "We set? Did we make any change to the original plan? I feel safer traveling in one group instead of splitting. If a party over there finds half a group, they might suspect that we're up to something. Better reduce our chances." Of course, that meant they were in danger of getting spotted for being a big group. And there was only one group. In his mind, the advantages outweighed the disadvantages by a margin.
"Side A is probably going to charge straight in through the shortest route. If it's not too much of a risk, I'd say take a longer route by staying near the outer edge of the territories. We'll have to make up on time, but do you think it'll help us in the long run?" Time was an important aspect. They had to make sure that Side Z doesn't have enough time to come in and storm the town while they're gone. They had to make sure that they didn't leave too much time so that the other side would begin to inform their members that many were missing. They had to allow enough time to get back to camp and be ready to move on to the next step.

Re: Dark Nights.
Ivy awoke when she heard the sound of leaves behind her. For a moment, she thought it was Tree Girl all over again, waiting for her to awaken just so Ivy could suffer that "slow and miserable" death all over again. It sent her chills every time she thought about it.
How close to death she was. Death, unjustified death.
There was no such thing as living until old age anymore. Sad as it was, the last centuries were all about finding ways to prolong life. No one wanted to die. They were all waiting on the future. Now, everyone was set on the present. There was no future.
No....There is no future. No future to look forward to, no career to aspire. No dreams to dream. No date to wait for. What would happen after the war? When would the war end? It wasn't like there was a leader on each side to compromise and negotiate. By the time someone signed a treaty to stop this, both sides would've already been dead.
To her relief, Ivy saw that the rustling was only caused by a bird. It was a decent sized bird, probably could feed two. Of course, portions ran small these days. Slowly, Ivy turned around, prepping a knife in her right hand. With a quick grab and thrust, the animal fell limp. She tied the bird to her belt and climbed down from the tree. At the base, she couldn't see Kennedy, so Ivy assumed that she had already gone back.
Ivy found the group within a few minutes. They seemed to be already plotting, since the were crowded in a group.

Re: Dark Nights.
Daravia
She awoke with a groan to the sound of Caleb's annoying voice. He just doesn't shut up. Daravia slowly sat up, swatting Caleb's hands away and grumbling gibberish as she rubbed her eyes.
"Call me sweetheart again and I'll beat the crap outta you," she grumbled, blinking her eyes. The world was momentarily a blur since Daravia hadn't been sleeping much and her eyes were drying out. She blinked a couple more times until everything came clearly into focus. She watched Caleb effortlessly hop out of the dumpster and sighed to herself, glancing at her sweatshirt sleeve and pant leg which were now stained red from her blood. It was a miracle she didn't pass out from blood loss. Daravia slowly peeled back the amateur bandaging around her left arm and looked at her wound. It was so caked with dirt and blood from so many people she couldn't make out the wound itself. She didn't dare touch the bandaging around her leg. That spear had gotten her good and Daravia knew a gash like that wouldn't heal very easily without stitches. She managed to stand up and roll herself out of the dumpster onto the ground, standing up and tucking all her loose hair into her hood to keep her field of view clear.
Daravia watched as Caleb stretched and messed around with his hair.
Sexy.
The second that thought crossed her mind she started choking on her own saliva. Daravia could hardly believe she actually just thought that. She shook her head and caught her breath after coughing a few times. She decided that thought along with everything from the night before had never happened. It was all a dream. More like a nightmare actually. Caleb was a disgusting, smelly jerk, only in her worst nightmares would she ever think something nice about him.
Daravia changed her thoughts to planning. After that clash with Side A Daravia had her suspicions that they had more people than Side Z may think, but they were mostly weaklings who cowered in their houses rather than fighting. After all, Daravia had never seen Spear Boy before yesterday. But nobody would be seeing any more of him. There had to be others. Tree Girl was smart, she wouldn't run around looking for trouble without a few intimidating friends. Maybe Tree Girl trained them? If that was the case, they should infultrate Side A and get rid of any undesirables before they got stronger and became potential threats. Maybe she would talk to Ivy about that.

Re: Dark Nights.
Caleb waited as everyone came. Ivy and Daravia and Caleb waited for atleast thirty minutes for Kennedy until she came running back with a crazy look in her eyes, but it turned out to just be a nervous expression because she was late. "Yeah, we waited long enough, we were just about to announce you dead and go on with our day. Hurry up next time, and don't sleep in. You should have been more careful." He grumbled and huddled into the group, looking down at the dirt ground and thinking.
"Do you want to continue where we were yesterday, girls? Going straight into Side A? If we have to, we can kill any members in our way. I know Side Z has lots of weak ones, but also some strong ones. The strong ones are usually in trees, though, so look up if we do go with this. We should be able to spot them and get out of there quick enough for them not to spot us. I don't feel like dying almost today, I want to stick with the weaklings, get them out of the way."
He also decided to tell him what he wanted to do. "I'm sure we are all in need of new clothing right? I say we go and kill a few people and steal their clothing. Not only will we feel more fresh, but we make sure they loose some members. I know we have some guards back at our side that one of those Side A people can't defeat, and we have some people in the trees, so we should be good."
He glanced at Daravia, and saw her stuck up look. She looked like she was tired of him talking, and he smirked a little to himself. She was made because he was acting like boss man, when truthfully, he felt like he was. He was the only guy in the group in a group full of girls, who was going to run, a girl? It may sound a bit sexist, but guys were made to rule, not little girls.
Julliette agreed with Chris and nodded at all the members at the group. "We agree with your idea, we stay on the outskirts of this battle area and walk forward. We need to speed up though, and make sure we have enough time. We go to slow and people will begin to notice we have people gone, and word will get around. We all know a secret isn't a secret here, it always gets around. We just have to beat the secre tbefore it catches one of their ears. Got it?"
She didn't wait for a response as she walked to the edge of the area and as everyone walked, they walked with grace. Side A was known not only for their hard to crack plans, but the way they can run in a forest with thousands of twigs on the forest floor and not make a sound. It was a great weapon to use against them, and Julliette was thankful for it. She killed several people with that technqiue, and she planned on using it to snatch up a few people on Side Z today.
Julliette tip toed on the ground, but fastly as she looked around. Nobody was in sight and nobody could be heard except the faint cry of an owl hooting in the distance. "Let's go people, hurry up, let's go." She whisper yelled at them as she picked up the pace, nearly halfway to the middle of the area. She waited for the rest to catch up and looked at Chris, walking next to him. "Are you going to take some people, or are you just going to watch?"
She knew Chris wasn't known for brutally killing like Julliette or Caleb, but he was a good member of Side A, and loyal too. There always a day when someone from a side switches sides, and that was a dramatic outbreak between all sides.

Re: Dark Nights.
OOC: I'm so confused with sides D: Someone make a list for me?
"Can't think of a reason not to go with the initial plan," Ivy commented. The thought of killing for clothing was...different. Of course, it was dead reasonable. Why not? People killed animals for their hide. It was just something new to think about.
Ivy's hand brushed over the slick yet secure grip of her knife. New technology. The knife itself was very thin and lightweight, but it was was durable. On top of that, they had tested it to make sure that it was sharp enough to go through flesh with one through. Ivy had three, two in her right pocket and one in her left. It sucked to be so...right-handed. Why couldn't she be ambidextrous? Or at least train herself to user her left side more. The thought made her regret skipping out on those two hand art exercises in elementary school.
"And we're all staying in one group, right?" she questioned, just to make sure.
"Lead the way."
----
Chris shoved the bar into his pocket. Luckily for him, he was wearing cargo pants. It would've sucked to have to carry his weapon by hand the entire way. Plus, it's a risk because he would've been tired out from the trip, making his swing weaker.
The team weaved through trees, staying close to the vegetation. They were well camouflaged. No one was stupid enough to wear a bright orange. A trade off was that the heat was pounding on their dark colored clothing during the daytime. Night time, on the other hand, was a bliss. It was strange how the temperature changed so drastically. One would only think temperatures would fluctuate this much in a desert type environment.
Some animals were heard chattering in the trees. Once in a while, Chris spotted a rabbit in their path. By command, the group would only stop to eat when they were hungry. The idea behind this was to minimize time spent in one spot. Once in the morning, once at night. That was more than plenty.
He stopped. Someone turned to ask a question, only to be shushed.
It sounded like a group of girls, or young boys. No, it wasn't a group. Judging by the frequency of their voices, it could only be one or two. Julliette must've heard it as well because Chris saw her halt the group. Two? he seemed to ask, holding up two fingers. With his other hand, he slowly reached into his pocket for the weapon. What was the plan to do with the people they take back? They couldn't drag them to the weaponry and back, right? This was one thing that they forgot to discuss before they left.

Re: Dark Nights.
Daravia
"Actually Mister Bossypants, I have a suggestion to make if you don't mind," she told them. "I think we should go around Side A's 'town' and attack from behind. They won't see it coming. Besides, all the strongest people from side A are in the middle looking for us so there should only be a couple weaklings left behind. We should get rid of all the weaker people we can before they learn from people on their side and become a threat," she explained with a nod. Then she turned to Ivy.
"Don't you think that's a better idea?" she asked her, making Ivy decide which plan was better. She was pissed at Kennedy for being late and she figured Caleb would like his plan the best since he made it up so her last option was Ivy.
Daravia thought about her plan to get rid of the weak links before they became a threat. She thought about Ivy. She knew sometime soon would be the best time to kill Ivy since she was defenseless, but she also knew doing that would destroy the bit of trust their little group had created with each other. She sighed. Ivy was smart and she was around good fighters like Daravia and Caleb. She could pick up a few tricks and get better at fighting. Then Daravia thought about Kennedy. If anyone in the group should die, it should be Kennedy. She wasn't as good a fighter as Caleb or Daravia, but she was still good and it would be smart to eliminate her before she got better. Daravia decided not to plan against her group just yet. They still had stupid Tree Girl and her posse to deal with, and they would need Kennedy's help with all those people, especially since Ivy wasn't the greatest help.

Re: Dark Nights.
Kennedy stood with her arms crossed, looking around at the members of her 'team.' She was taking in every word they said, storing it in her memory so it could be easily repeated later. You see, Kennedy isn't exactly.. well.. she's not on Side Z. A few months ago she had teamed up with Julliete and the rest of the stronger people, but she was weak then. No muscle, fighting skills, weapons.. she was nothing compared to them. She couldn't fight off people as well as they could, and when she killed her heart would break for the victim. So they sent her off onto Side Z to get stronger, as well as be a spy for them. Julliete told her to join an alliance that included some of the strongest members, Daravia and Caleb. Oh how she hated them, with their cocky 'i own the world' attitudes. The key was showing them that she was strong, and that she can kill without a problem. They judge on skills, and nothing else. Julliete trained her to use a knife and to throw it perfectly on one target, and within a day Kennedy had mastered it. So that day they sent her off onto Side Z, Julliete sitting in a high tree and shooting anybody who spotted her crossing the barrier line. Nobody on side z knew of Kennedy because she never moved from the house, and only killed one person in her whole time here. So it was easy for her to slip over and blend into the scenery, finding a spare knife on the ground and going smoothly with the plan Side A had prepared for her. Find a member of the alliance, and make sure they are looking when she throws the knife perfectly into the middle of a tree. Ivy saw this, and decided that she would be a good person to have as protection. She brought her to Caleb and Daravia, showed them what she could do, and just like that she was in. Ever since she had been sleeping in a tree right at the barrier line, and late into the night she would slip away from her resting place and blend into the night as she ran to the barrier line and met Julliete and the other Side A members to repeat her findings of the day. For months and months it had worked, so she never had a doubt anybody would find out.
Attack from the town. Weaker members first. Kennedy thought, storing it in her mind for later. "Look. I know your pissed, but if you would like to know I think that is a great idea Daravia. They wont see it coming. And anyway, they probably figure we will attack from the front lines or sneak from the side. Killing the weaker members is a good idea too, figuring we need to save our energy for killing tree girl and her little pack the most." Kennedy says, with a little nod. "Now, i need clothes, because my skin is starting to itch from being in these so long." But she wasn't going to get clothes. She was going to Side A to report their attack. And when they do.. Side A will be ready.
