Help with something with angles...

I just learned something about when two angles have one common vertex...the name of this angle starts with a c. Whats the name? And can you explain it a little? I'm so confused.

Okay. Complementary angles dont have to share a vertex or side or anything. They just have to be two angles what equal a total of 90 degrees. Hope that helps :)
