Akira's phone beeps and she looks down at it. Her eyes widen and fill with tears. She calls Chris as she runs to her car.

Akira saw he hung up and threw her phone down onto the pavement. She got into her car and drove away as fast as she could, trying to leave it all behind even though she knew it wouldn't work.

Akira remembered they had the football game later and sighed. "Crap." She didn't want to go, but her mom would force her too. She turned around and drove back towards the school.

Akira practiced by herself. Some of the guys who had been at her house were on Chris's team. They walked up to him and smiled. One smiled,"hey Chris. So how are you and Akira?" Another guy grinned,"Can we have her yet?" he looked over at her, almost drooling.
