"My name is Prince. Envy...that's a pretty name for a beautiful mare." He smiled at her. she had a very nice coat color.

"I'm Beauty and this is my Filly, Flower" She nudged her foal

She smiled. "Well it's nice to meet you Prince." She swished her tail happily, looking him over. He had such a great build. And look at that coloring. One word: perfect.

He looked at Flower and said softly,"well it's nice to meet such a pretty little foal." He looked at the mare with a smile. "And you too Beauty. Your name suits you."

He smiled noticing her blush. "It's only the truth," he replied. He tossed his mane and glanced around casually. "Would you ladies be interested in a drink by the stream?"

She smiled a little when he assumed she had a mate. "I don't have one." She answered softly, bending her head down for another drink. She raised her head after taking a small amount of water and judged his reaction.

Wanting to leave them alone she said "Mother? May I go play in the barn?" She nodded towards the barn.

He smiled at the idea of sharing a drink with her. It was special to him. He watched little Flower as she asked her mom if she could go play in the barn. He listened to Beauty and nodded in agreement. The barn was a safe place but there were always suprises.

She turned back to Pumpkin smiling. He was very handsome and sure to be a nice caring stallion. She let him lead the way respecting that he was a stallion. He had a very beautiful coat which she thought he might have a mate already but would be be this kind to a mare who has a foal if he did?

He laughed and sprinted after her, slowly catching up to her. Wow this mare was fast. He finally caught up to her at the river. "Wow. You're fast."

"My dad was a race horse he kinda taught me how to run, just in case I ever needed to get away. But I'm not nearly as fast as him." She smiled and lowered her head to drink

He grinned,"wow! Really? That's amazing! I wish my dad was a racehorse. He was a jumper. My mom was a, uh, I don't think there's a name for it. Girls would wear big ball gowns and the guys would wear sparkly suits and costumes and they would ride my mom and she would dance around. It was amazing....I'd like to do that too. It's my little 'if I could do anything' wish."
