that's almost as done as the murder mysteries. v.v How about there is this group of exchanged students from across the country who have to live with the family who they traded lives with, so that way we can also roleplay family members and neighbors and such. cx except the town is either full of freaks in different ways, or there are handfuls or... so on?

I'm just throwing out suggestions. But you could always do the whole post-apocalyptic, zombie ridden wasteland. That is always interesting and relatively creepy. ;3

I just don't really associate zombies with Hallowe'en, but I'm fairly confidant that if you pull in references from books or movies, I won't understand them.

I was in a roleplay once that was kinda creepy. But by no means do I mean go with it, just letting you know another idea.

One person was "In charge" of the plotline (usually the original poster), and everyone else was in a university (or high school, if you wish) setting where we went about seemingly regular hands-on classes, but for every experiment, lab, or assignment, there was a corresponding death. The person "in charge" would decide who's and PM that person in secret as to not give away the surprise to other people.

For example, in biology class, a cadaver (dead body) was brought in for dissections, and for every touch or cut, one of us students could feel it. Unbeknown to the rest of the class, this poor student continued to suffer until finally dying, then lifting the sheet from the cadaver's face would reveal the itenty and explanation of the dead student. Alternately, ALL students felt the cuts as to not give away the secret, but only one person was to die at the end and the only way to save ourselves was to guess who by using various clues. Doesn't mean that individual is saved, though. Then as classes would continue, the "leader" would decide what was going to happen (usually playing as the professors or teachers) and one by one PM players to let them know they they're next and to play along without giving too much away.

We tried to have one survivor guess how their friends died and how, but being a typed roleplay, that didn't really work.

i don't know. what i kind of want to do is like stick a few freaks in some normal town, trading some other normal residents like foreign exchange students? y'know. cx and have like crazy characters, with like the family holding those students like O_O and the former friends of the kids that were exchanged like >_>. idk. it sounds just as... i don't know. but i feel like we have enough really good roleplayers that we could make it work. and it's like we can roleplay any age. like even the little sister of that family holding like... a vampire. and it gets scary because maybe one of them is just a threat to humanity in general (cx) and the others are like D; we'renot like that! ahhh, i can't even describe it. does anyone feel me? .----.

Sooooo, the elusive Kate finally returns to put her thoughts out there in hopes that they will be liked. xD Yep, sounds about right. Annnyways…

I used to be apart of this one kinda' scary roleplay (it died because no one ever came back on). It was basically set in a small town in the wilderness before the modern age (the setting can obviously be changed) where superstition still ruled people's lives. Being a small town, everybody knew everybody and one day, an old man that everyone was quite fond of was murdered horrifically, the idea being that a creature of darkness (i.e. vampire, werewolf, demon, etc.) committed the deed. Some of the townspeople rose up to hunt down the old mans murderer, only to find that they had bitten off more than they could chew- a lot more. The point of the RolePlay was that the antagonist(s) were much more powerful in just about every way (strength, speed, skill, intelligence, etc.) and killed off many NPC's or minor characters until the final stand. Once the main charries finally extracted revenge for the old man, they found that they had awakened the rest of the dark creatures and wound up in a sort-of-battle.
