A new announcement.
hi y'all, admin bunny here and i first want to say that it's been awhile since we have had our "advanced role play" option open to the members of the community, but i think people are starting to abuse that and we need to be refreshed on a few things.
Advanced Roleplaying is when you MUST be literate. That means correct spelling, good grammar, paragraphs, and "these when speaking" Has more than 5 sentences, and good description.
Two-Three lines is NOT going to cut it, and if you do that, i really suggest going back to the role play forum, please. It not only makes me a bit angry, but other dedicated advanced roleplayers.
What not to do:
Crystal ran a long way nd she kept on tripping nd she blinked and ran faster, and, fatser. She dint know what was running after her but, she was scared and kept on running. What was she going to do?
Regular Roleplaying really has no certain things. Most people want you to be literate, having good spelling and such but the length of your post doesn't matter here as it does in Advanced Roleplaying. Used more for people who can't do more than 2 paragraphs.
If you need help determining whether your role play really is advanced, just private message me and I can help you. Also, if you want to know if you can move up to advanced but just don't know if you're ready, I can help you, just private message me as well.
Also, I did some new month cleaning of this place for July! You have more space, and it looks more organized in your forums.
I also redid the theme! We have been gettings lots of complaints about not changing out theme lately, so I did. I did make the banner, and the background. It took a lot of hard work to basically search through hundreds of themes, and downloading themes and icons just to get this possible.
Other than that, happy roleplaying. Have a happy week.
xoxo,
bunny.

Re: A new announcement.
I think the problem is that everyone wants to be considered a good roleplayer, so they join the Advanced rp. Here is what I see:
In the "Advanced RP" thread, there are a lot more slow paced roleplaying. By slow paced, I mean about twenty minutes between each posts give or take depending on if people are online and how fast they type. My posts in Advanced RP are a few hours spaced apart at minimum. The posts consist of more than a paragraph, usually three or four. In the "regular" roleplaying thread, roleplays are much more fast paced and usually from a few lines to a paragraph and a bit. I don't want to send the message that "Advanced RP" is for the "pros" and "Roleplaying" is for noobs. That's what I'm trying to avoid. Quite frankly, that's what some people are viewing it as.
It's not a bad thing to roleplay in the "regular" roleplaying thread. It's nothing to be ashamed about.
My suggestion is to change the name of the threads. Maybe "Slow paced" and "Fast paced"? Or change the definition of "Advanced RP" and up the number of paragraphs. The goal for roleplayers is for everyone to improve their writing skill, so hopefully everyone is aiming to get into the "Advanced RP" thread sooner or later. Good writing is more about the length of the post. It is more than having good grammar and spelling each word correctly. My definition of a great roleplaying post is a post that is descriptive (without overdoing it) and able to drive the plot at a comfortable speed while matching the character's personality. I'm not a perfect roleplayer, but I believe I do a pretty good job of trying to match my description of an ideal roleplaying post. It's true that some people are better writers than others. I wouldn't deny that. Even a roleplayer whom everyone believes is great has their own sets of flaws. Don't hesitate to offer some writing points in a PM, even if you don't feel like you are a "good roleplayer".
Thanks for the layout, Bailey. Happy roleplaying.

Re: A new announcement.
I love the new layout, so thank you! :D It really looks great. Oh, and I also just wanted to say that I agree with Rise. I do think "Fast Paced Roleplays" and "Slow Paced Roleplays" would be better titles, and maybe less insulting to some people. The only problem I see is that people may take that the wrong way and it wouldnt be so much of an 'Advanced' section anymore. Hopefully, we can discuss it more. :D Thanks!

EVERYONE should be personally thanking Bailey for all of her hard work on the site. She did some major amazing improvements and it must have taken her hours to get the site to look so great. Bailey put a LOT of work and effort into this website and I think we should all thank her for everything.
What would we do without you, Bailey. Thank you SO MUCH for everything you contribute to the website :)

I never got a chance to put in my input... c: BUT THAT IS TOTALLY OKAY BECAUSE THIS IS AWESOME. Really cool banner, and the layout itself is awesome. I always liked this blue which I joined the site with. It looks over-all awesome and I was getting kind of sick of the old layout. Thank x100000000000googleplex. :] Amazing job.
